What about the COMPLAN?

The recent actions of the Planning Commission, CAC and City Council have been to take any action necessary to generate more sales tax income for the city. Throw out the existing Complan so 900 row-houses and sales tax generating shopping can be shoehorned onto the Marathon property. Littleton’s traffic is already terrible and the zoning actions to remake Littleton into hyped New Urbanism; read much higher density plus town-homes above retail shops will only generate more traffic and congestion. The Planning Commissions approval to rezone for a Big Box on Santa Fe is only the next step in throwing out the Complan in favor of more Sales Tax income and yep more traffic and congestion.

It is difficult not to come to the conclusion that much effort has been made to identify what is special about Littleton and then to have the Planning Commission, CAC and City Council rapidly take the actions necessary to destroy the existing high quality of life.
