What to Bring to Western Welcome

Of course remember to grab your sunscreen, lawn chairs and some bottled water, and be sure to bring the following:

Enthusiasm
Life is not all work and obligation, so when you get a chance to attend something fun like this, just enjoy it – enthusiastically.

Appetite
Many events have great food available. Come hungry and you’ll be able to sample the fares.

Kids
Kids of all ages love Western Welcome Week. Bring yours. If you don’t have kids or yours are grown, come as a kid yourself.

Patience
All events are carefully planned, but we all know that no plan survives the opening of the event, so attend with an appreciative mind and enjoy the happening – no matter what happens.

Curiosity
As you attend an event take notice of how many years it has been going on. Wonder what it must have been like in 1928 when Western Welcome began, what it would have been like during WWII or the 50s, and 60s. Notice how much has changed since you first started attending.
If you have fun stories about those days, please share them with us.
