I moved to Littleton in Jan of 06, by March I was out on the Platte trail rollerblading and biking and for most of the spring and summer I spent almost everyday out there. I was in awe of Colorado’s many biking trails and I was especially grateful that I could access the trail so close to my house and within minutes be in a sanctuary of nature, away from it all if you will. However, if you take the trail north in through some of the industrial areas, it’s just not the same thing, it losses all of it’s charm and just becomes a trail that leads from one place to another. If Wal-Mart is allowed to do this, why not just let them build over the Platte River and trail, there really wouldn’t be much difference!

P.S. I wonder how many of Sam Walton’s kids have a Wal-Mart right next to their home? Any guesses?
