Cronenberger Resigns
Littleton City Council Member Pat Cronenberger resigned from the Littleton District II seat on Wednesday January 31. The resignation took place the day after she made the motion to approve the rezoning for Wal-Mart on Santa Fe Drive. That successful motion was passed by a 4-3 vote. Had she resigned one day earlier, the rezoning would not have passed.
The remaining six Council Members will choose a successor within 30 days. The new council member will serve until November of this year.

It is so sad that a person who was instrumental in the lovely World War II memorial in Ketring Park would make their exit under the shame of voting yes to approve the rezoning for Wal-Mart. What a stain on a public service record.
