I am definitely opposed to allowing Walmart to move into our area. I believe in the wonderful small business, "mom and pop" mentality we have created in downtown Littleton. I have watched Home Depot and Lowes build megastores, and see increased traffic, congestion, exhaust and huge trucks. Who wants to live, play or enjoy the wonderful river habitat with these behemoth structures in view? Let's stay small, and even put a moratorium on big boxes. My hunch is the homeowners would choose quality of life over crazy parking lot, impersonal convenience.
My bigger idea is a destination hotel/resort, which would make Littleton a destination place to vacation, attend downtown events, and enjoy what Littleton has to offer. Thank you! Sallie Rupnow
