Wal-Mart: Traffic and congestion

Thank you for producing pro and con opinions regarding a new Walmart in Littleton. I am against building any large shopping areas on Santa Fe, and have a particular aversion to Walmart. To me it represents more traffic and congestion, and I find how they procure cheap products a bad way to do business. Littleton should rise above other cities in the metro area and find more acceptable retail outlets that are more in line with our lifestyles. I also find that as the largest employer in America, Walmart could certainly offer more benefits to their employees, rather than keep such a large profit – the Walton family has assets in excess of 80 billion dollars! Do we really want to add to one family’s wealth at the cost of many people’s hard earned money?

NO Walmart in Littleton
Thank you for your time.

It would be terribly irresponsible of Littleton Government Officials to approve the proposed WalMart. The entire Santa Fe corridor is already extremely congested and dangerous, as is Mineral to the south and Bowles and Bellview to the North. I can’t believe tax revenues gains from the WalMart facility would be enough to develop appropriate traffic relief measures, and besides, , there is no “space” to expand the aforemention traffic venues. Littleton is landlocked! A resounding NO to the proposed WalMart! If Littletlon is to stoop that low, perhaps Casinos should also be considered!
